Rainwater infiltrates through the landfill. On its way down flowing through the solid waste the water is contaminated with heavy metals, salts and high organic pollutants resulting in a product named leachate. The leachate is collected from the bottom of the landfill to be stored before treatment.
DeFraWater® membrane filtration plants purify the leachate. We use the latest materials for our reverse osmosis membranes. This enables our systems to meet the most strict discharge limits.
